1. Introduction
Welcome to Alarm Clock. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information. Our primary goal is to provide a reliable alarm service while respecting your privacy.
2. Data Collection & Usage
Local Storage: This app uses the Room Persistence Library. All your alarm settings, labels, and schedules are stored locally on your device's internal database. We do not host this data on external servers.
Personal Data: We do not collect personal identifiers such as your name, email address, or phone number.
Third-Party SDKs: While the core app functions offline, we may use standard industry SDKs (like AdMob) to show advertisements. these third parties may collect device identifiers (Android ID) to serve personalized ads.
3. Permissions & Why We Need Them
To function as a reliable alarm clock, we require the following:
Exact Alarm (SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM): Required to trigger your alarm at the precise second you set.
Boot Completed (RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED): Allows the app to reschedule your alarms automatically if your phone restarts.
Vibrate & Wake Lock: To ensure the device stays awake and vibrates when the alarm is ringing.
Full Screen Intent: To show the alarm screen even when your phone is locked.
Notifications: To alert you of upcoming alarms and provide a way to snooze or dismiss them.
4. Children’s Privacy
Our app does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. Since all alarm data is local, we do not have a database of child users.
